Ming Yi: the dark night of the soul: Hexagram 36

This week both the sun, our brightest light that represents the purpose on how one can be validated, self actualized, and Neptune, the deep waters that represents the spirit, where we are all invisibly connected, are joined together on gate 36 (hexagrams/ gene key).

Ming Yi: the dark night of the soul. Taking time as the light dims to gather a dream, and image, and ideas that will keep the spirit alive, as the emotions are in a wave rising and falling until they reach an outlet-

Thus inexperience is turned into experience.

Change or disruption can be dreadful, an emotional crisis can offer the potential for transformation, the lower trigram is fire and the above one is water, as all things change. And during this process where the light dims, an inner vision is pointing towards trusting the spirit that speaks in parables, songs, colors, intuitively making sense only when the emotions rise to the occasion-

While in the body do not forget to tune to your heart and express yourself- sing a song, hug a tree, tiptoe, and or stump with the sound of a drum- have you tried humming in the shower? 30 seconds dancing by yourself? Square breathing maybe?

The mind will only feed itself with more unnecessary narratives, as the body asks to be connected to the heart.

The potential is Emotional Affect ability.

HEXAGRAM 36, MING YI

MING. Sun (2) and moon (1): brightness, clear, intelligent, understand, illustrate, cleanse.

YI, the second character, is a man with a string-arrow (or maybe just an arrow).

Ming-Yi is also the sun after sunset, below the horizon: injured brightness.

YI: barbarous tribes on the East; often used for any foreigner. Peaceful, pleased, at ease, level, even, just, common, usual, ordinary. Kill, exterminate, injured. Grades, classes.

Turbulence — Humanity — Compassion

“The 36th Gift doesn’t freeze. It doesn’t close down. It stays open. Wow. Do you know what that entails? Someone or something completely threatens to overwhelm us, and we stay open. Our heart may recoil for a few moments, but we breathe deeply into our chest, anchor ourselves in the belly, and look the experience right in the eye.” — Richard Rudd, 64 Ways
